Blueknight Energy Partners, L.P. (BKEP), a leading provider of mid-stream energy services, has announced its board of directors and senior management team.
Blueknight is a publicly traded master limited partnership formed in July 2007. The company provides crude oil terminalling and storage, crude oilgathering and transportation services and asphalt terminalling, storage and processing services.
“Blueknight’s name may be new, but our experience in the mid-stream energy business is second to none,” Duke Ligon, independent director and chairman of the board, said. “Our highly experienced and qualified management team is focused on providing reliable solutions and value to our many customers.”
Ligon brings more than 35 years of expertise in corporate securities, litigation, governmental affairs and mergers and acquisitions to the board of directors of BKEP's general partner. He is an attorney and served as senior vice president and general counsel of Devon Energy Corporation from January 1997 until he retired in February 2007.
Other members of the board include Blueknight’s Chief Executive Officer James C. Dyer, IV., an energy industry veteran who has served in several key leadership capacities with Vitol, most recently as a director and Vice President, Projects and Business Development ;Miguel Loya, a former president of Vitol, Inc.; Javed Ahmed, a former managing director at Morgan Stanley & Co.; Christopher Brown, a Vitol crude oil trader; Steven Bradshaw, with 30 years of experience in the global logistics and transportation industry and currently Managing Director at Global Logistics Solutions; and John Shapiro, formerly Global Head of Commodities at Morgan Stanley.
Senior corporate officers include Chief Executive Officer James C. Dyer, IV, an energy industry veteran who has served in several key leadership capacities with Vitol, most recently as a director and Vice President, Projects and Business Development, and President and Chief Operating Officer J. Michael Cockrell. Cockrell brings over 30 years of extensive crude oil industry experience, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Commercial Upstream for TEPPCO Partners, L.P., in Oklahoma City.
Other key senior officers include: Alex G. Stallings, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary; Jerry Parsons, Executive Vice-President of Asphalt Operations; James R. Griffin, Chief Accounting Officer; Jeff Speer, Senior Vice-President of Operations; Larry Hatley, Vice President of Transportation, Marketing and Operations; Michael S. Prince, Vice President of Business Development; Jeff W. Matthews, Vice President of Pipeline Marketing; and Tim Moore, Vice President of Pipeline Operations.
